Probo
Improved Productivity, Efficient Nesting
Probo, a leader in print and fulfillment since 2001, serves a diverse range of partners from sign makers to web shops, offering over 250 materials for various print products. With thousands of daily orders, maintaining consistent and accurate color production is crucial. Manual color adjustments for each job are impractical, necessitating a reliable method for consistent high-quality output across all orders. Efficient nesting is essential for productivity, but tracking individual orders—especially for reprints or multi-product orders—poses significant logistical challenges. Probo sought a solution to automate job tracking seamlessly across their printers and cutters, addressing these critical needs for efficiency and consistency in production.
Artex
Less Wasted Substrate
Artex, a prominent fabric manufacturer specializing in sunshades, curtains, and upholstery, is renowned for its innovative and high-quality craftsmanship within the Hunter Douglas Group. Precision in color matching is crucial in textile production, where designers prepare digital jobs for curtains, furnishings, roller blinds, and pleated blinds, with only 2% of work completed via analogue printing. However, achieving consistent color accuracy between printed fabrics and sample-books was a challenge. Daily creation of new color profiles for various fabrics caused significant bottlenecks.
Customer Quotes
"The software has color profiling integrated into the software, which gives us more control over the colors and amount of ink used. In addition, Print Factory has some tools for positioning the products and generating a white layer, which did not function properly in Rasterlink. It is also very nice to have access to support staff, which is not readily available with many RIPs."
Mike Sies : Director of Operations, Printeers
"PrintFactory has helped us to be more organized and systematic in terms of file ripping and printing from different workstations. PrintFactory also has helped us to categorize each profile depending on the materials being used and integrate each profiles from one machine to another machine, and most of all PrintFactory is our safeguard for quality and consistency of colors. compared to previous software PrintFactory is giving us full command on color management, nesting, ripping and profiling across multiple workstations and machines."
Makram Hilal : HOD Digital Printing, Unigraf
"An integral feature of this software lies in its ability to manage color approval for application on diverse printers and substrates. Historically, obtaining approval for a specific piece of equipment meant printing exclusively on that device. However, with PrintFactory's tailored configurations and calibrations, we've achieved a harmonized compatibility across all our equipment, ensuring a consistent response to the same color proof."
Ignacio Ruiz-Tagle - Managing Partner at Croma S.A.
"I could not fault the results; the Delta-e tolerances were exactly what we would have expected for a contract proof. The RGB versions gave a really accurate representation of the original file, which meant I could also use it for photographic and fine art printing. PrintFactory suggested I buy a desktop Epson SC-P5000 SpectroProofer as this would allow me to calibrate the printer myself regularly to maintain proofing specifications. What I did not expect was his suggestion that the software was installed via TeamViewer - I was used to intensive installation and training with such systems!"
